Eleven public promises that bind the steward and any successor — beginning with: free for families, forever.

This Project belongs to the families who live it. But someone must hold the pen, keep the website running, and answer for the whole — a steward: Savio Standard, serving until a dedicated entity is formed, acting solely in that capacity — separate from its owner’s company and products — and making these commitments publicly, binding itself and any successor:

  1. Free for families, forever. The Project’s own assets — the core content (covenant, glossary, playbooks, formation materials) and the Project website that delivers it — are free to every family and every school. Participation will never carry a price.

  2. Open to every family. There is no membership and no gate. Every gathering is open to the whole homeroom, grade, or school; invitations always go to all.

  3. Your community is yours. Every Savio Community is independent. The steward publishes the framework; it will never direct, approve, or control a local community, and it assumes no responsibility or liability for any community’s activities — each is accountable for its own.

  4. Credit where credit is due. Everyone who contributes content is credited by name, permanently.

  5. A clear license, never changed retroactively. The content is released free for mission use under a public license. Commercial use requires a license from the steward, on published terms. Terms for existing users may loosen over time; they will never retroactively tighten.

  6. Transparency about money. The mission itself — the content and the website — is sustained by sponsorships and institutional licenses, never by charging families to participate.

  7. Aligned products, clearly optional. Apps and other products that build on the framework — from the steward’s owners or from others under license — are not Project assets and may be paid; none will ever be required to participate. Tools are recommended by published criteria, and anything built by the steward’s owners is disclosed as such.

  8. Generosity first. This work is offered in generosity, by volunteers, for the building of the Kingdom. Because sustaining its core contributors sustains the Project, they may be supported from the sources above: openly, modestly, and never at families’ expense.

  9. A worthy successor. When scale warrants, the mission assets move to a dedicated nonprofit that inherits every commitment on this page.

  10. A graceful ending, if it comes. If the Project is ever wound down, the core content will be released under an open license so that any community may carry it forward.

  11. Accountability. Each year the steward publishes a short letter to the community: what was built, what was earned, and what comes next.
