Why this exists
Culture doesn’t hold itself together
Left alone, a school culture drifts toward whatever its most persistent voices normalize — one grade, one group chat, one birthday-party guest list at a time. Kindness becomes something to praise when it shows up, rather than something to expect. None of this is anyone's fault in particular; it's simply what happens when a culture is left undirected instead of built on purpose.

The Golden Rule set the bar a long time ago. The Savio Standard treats it as a floor a grade's families can name, expect, and hold together — not an aspiration to hope for, and not a weight any one family should carry alone.
The antidote
A playbook, not a program
This project exists so no parent has to build the response from scratch: a covenant already written, a shared language already tested, a protocol for the hard conversation already scripted, and a community structure — School Leads, Homeroom Hosts — already designed. How it starts
Quietly, or all at once
It can start small: a parent reads, signs the covenant privately, and mentions it to a couple of families already trusted in the grade. When eight households in a grade have signed, the grade activates and everyone is introduced at once — no family holds the standard by itself. Or it can move faster: a family ready to launch it school-wide becomes the Director themselves, or finds the parent who should be, and builds the founding team directly rather than waiting for a grade to fill in on its own. Either way, it runs independent of the school and the parish, alongside them rather than through them.
